Das WLAN hat problemlos und schnell funktioniert. Die von anderen Gästen bereits erwähnte Hellhörigkeit des Hauses ist tatsächlich vorhanden und sollte vor dem eventuellen Buchen bedacht werden, denn im Haupthaus laufen anscheinend Kinder bis spät in die Nacht und dann schon ab früh morgens wieder Holztreppen und -böden rauf und runter, was man in der Wohnung schon seeehr deutlich hört.
Mich hat das nicht so gestört, aber wer in dieser Hinsicht empfindlich ist, sollte sich eher nach einer anderen Unterkunft umsehen. Die Unterkunft von Gianclaudio ist optimal für 2 Personen. The location is great, a short pleasant walk along the river to the old town. If you don't want to walk, or the weather is bad, the number 22 bus runs right outside. The bus is free on Saturdays. Tubingen by the way is beautiful. On first appearance the apartment looks a little tired, but everything is very comfortable - bed, couch - super. Ein Hinweis an alle die mit einem Kleinkind oder Baby anreisen: Das Schlafzimmer hat nur eine Glastür. Wir hatten unser mitgebrachtes Reisebettchen dort stehen und mussten dann ein Bettlaken welches wir vorsorglich mitgebracht hatten vor die Tür hängen, so dass wir abends noch bei Licht in der Wohnstube sitzen konnten. War aber kein Problem. Es gibt vor dem Zimmer eine kleine Küche, in der man das nötigste findet.
Alles ist sehr sauber. Im Zimmer ist kein Fernseher und alles ist mit einem Check in System ausgestattet, so dass man per Code seinen Schlüssel erhält. Katharina lernt man nicht kennen. Also wer auf eine nette Gastgeberin hofft und auf eventuelle Tips zum Sightseeing ist hier falsch. This time experienced some difficulties with the arrival time but Jochen was there waiting as usual. The kitchen was well equipped, with nice appliances and also many utensils. Something as simple as a pizza cutter can make all the difference.
What ever I looked for, I found. The dishwasher, for example was very useful for my multi-day stay. Plenty of room and plenty of privacy. It can often be a bit odd staying in close proximity to your hosts; Jochen and Sylvia made me feel right at home. I only saw them at the start of my visit, except when I asked for something, then they were available immediately. If you have heavy luggage, or a heart condition I have bothI recommend accepting a ride up the hill if they offer.
Or, take a cab from the train station. I decided I needed the exercise, and it was good exercise, but it took me a while with the frequent stops on the hill.
Getting downhill in the morning to make the train to Stuttgart, or Ulm, was easy! Getting back at night also not a problem if I left my suitcase at home. There are some great stores right next to the train station, so you can buy food for breakfast and dinner if that suits; the well-equipped kitchen makes doing this a good decision. I guess it is technically an efficiency apartment, but it is a very large one.
The Bed is off to the side where the bathroom is located, and you have a very large dining area and living area by the kitchen. I slept very well in the bed, and appreciated the nice robe and towels that were provided.
Everything I needed was supplied, and they supplied many things I did not need like several options for making coffee. I hope to stay here next time if its available. The house is a contained apartment fully independent from the host with all included Very nice set up. Jochen is a great host whom looks after the guest with all needs.
